Al Meera, the largest retailer in Qatar, alongside KidZania, an award-winning entertainment brand, announced the launch of their joint project in the city of Doha - Kid-Sized Supermarket inside KidZania Doha. Saeed Al Nabet, Administration Affairs & Human Resources Director of Al Meera, and Ali Abdulla Al Mutawaa, Board Member of Qatar Entertainment (Tasali) W.L.L. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in the official inauguration that took place earlier this month.

Keeping in line with KidZania's vision of providing a realistic, unique, and safe learning environment for children, the collaboration between the two organizations is a step forward in educating children about the retail industry and its day-to-day importance. The supermarket will allow children to take up professional roles within the retail industry in what will be a realistic retail environment.
Roles such as cashiers, merchandisers, shoppers, and the delivery staff will be available for children and will help introduce themselves to the retail world. Kids, at the same, would also get the opportunity to develop and enhance their interpersonal and communication skills.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Ali Abdulla Al-Mutawaa, Qatar Entertainment (Tasali) W.L.L. Board Member, said that, "KidZania is the world's leading education and entertainment brand. There is a belief in the organization that the best way of teaching children is through role-playing. With such a unique business model, KidZania has been able to interact with kids and provide them with informative experiences which are set to leave a huge impact in the future."
According to Ali Abdulla Al-Mutawaa, partnering with Al Meera will help kids understand retailing as a business. He expressed his delight at the fact that the kids of Doha will now get to increase their knowledge about the industry and understand the process of making a successful retail business.
