When you stand on the bridge and look out over the South Sea, you will notice the four islets of Ben Tre: Long (Dragon), Lan (Unicorn), Quy (Turtle), and Phung (Phoenix) clustered together among the vast river. This view is known as "Tu Linh," or “The Four Holy Beasts of Vietnam.” Each islet has its own unique characteristics and subtleties just like members in a family, and it all results in a spectacularly vibrant panorama. From here, continue your journey toward Ben Tre where you will take an exciting cruise ride with family in the Ben Tre province on the Ham Luong River. The scenery is stunning here with the creamy coffee-colored rivers meandering through little channels bordered with water palms, thatch, and bamboo cottages tucked among the luscious orchards. After this have an unexpected sight, to say the least of a brick kiln. While entering the brick kiln, you will witness a small Buddhist shrine to the left of the kiln entrance, where you can take blessings for your family’s well-being and you will be surprised to see that almost all the workers are women. And then try husking the coconut shell with your kids for having fun in the workshop. You kid’s will learn how the farmers and their families work hard to take the shell of the coconut. For the kids, we have a special destination on the day, a coconut-candy workshop, which they will surely love the most. Now head to the local market of Nhon Thanh and take a stroll around exploring the products and buy something as a memory of the place if you like. The tour assistant will now take you to a farmer’s workshop that makes sleeping mats, and an old traditional hand-weaving sedge mat. You can enjoy a complementary delicious lunch in the market and after that, we will walk around the village and explore a bit more of the coconut farms, and fruit orchards. You can enjoy hand paddling of wooden sampan on the small waterway, that glides over the canals beneath the canopy of water coconut palms. After exploring the village, culture, and market you will be taken back to Ben Tre town by cruise from where you will be driven back to Saigon. If we will be having time on our hands, we will take you to Ben Luc, which is a rural district of Long An province in the Mekong Delta region, where you can see the complete process of rice farming. Here, our day 2 destinations and activities are finished, so you will be driven back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Your day three fascinating excursion will start after you finish your delicious breakfast at the hotel with your family. Then we will drive to a symbol of solidarity, Tay Ninh, the home of a religion that is a combination of Buddhism and Christianity. And here, attend a ceremony in the Tay Ninh Church and take blessings with family. After prayer, relish sumptuous lunch at a restaurant and get ready to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. If you are a history buff, this place is no less than a library of the Vietnam War that escalated in the 1960s. Explore the Cu Chi Tunnel by having a chance to enter it and by documentaries and displays of traps. Discover the 250km long tunnel spanned from Saigon to the border of Cambodia with a short introduction to the tunnel network.
