Day 4

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and drive to the only remaining Pagan temple in Armenia, devoted to the God of the Sun called Myrth, in Garni. After exploring the ancient Garni temple, visit Charent's Arch, which is dedicated to the most important modern Armenian poet, Yeghishe Charent. After that, you will be visiting the ruins of the Royal Palace and Royal Bathhouse, which are located near the arch. During the lunch hours, you have the option of being a part of a family hosted lunch in a private village house at your own pace. You will get the privilege of watching the preparation of lavash, Armenian traditional flat bread baked in a stone oven, by Armenian countryside ladies using the same ancient technology as hundreds of years before. After enjoying a tasty meal at a restaurant or a traditional Armenian village house, the vacation tour will continue and you will visit the uniquely caved Geghard monastery. The monastery has been preserving a long spear, which is the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. It was brought here by Apostle Thaddeus in the 12th or 13th century. The spear was brought to the monastery by Apostle Thaddeus. After that, you will be driving back to Yerevan to visit the open-air exhibition market called Vernissage.
