This full-day tour to Hue takes in this cultural and historical enclave’s greatest treasures. This UNESCO World Heritage site contains the landmarks of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty. Visitors can explore mysterious citadels, tombs, temples and pagodas. The tour starts with the drive to Hue and on arrival we board a dragon boat and cruise along the romantic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most ancient architectural structures for religious worship in the former capital city. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial city from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. We then return to respective hotels in Danang or Hoi An in the late afternoon.

In the morning, we depart from the hotel for a half-day excursion to My Son, the capital an religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom. This is situated 40 km south-west of Hoi An in idyllic countryside. It has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and the protected sanctuary houses dozens of red-brick towers and temples, dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. After this fascinating exploration of the ancient artefacts, we head back to Hoi An for lunch and a half-day walking tour that takes in the best attractions this historic and picturesque UNESCO listed destination has to offer. As a former prosperous seaport during the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An attracted merchants from afar. Consequently, it has a wealth of buildings and architectural styles. We visit the colourful local market, Tan Ky Old House, the Fukien Assembly Hall and the renowned 400-year- old Japanese Covered Bridge. We will also see how local residents raise silkworms to produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry.

We then head back to Hoi An for lunch and a half-day walking tour of this picturesque location. As a former prosperous seaport during the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An attracted merchants from afar. Consequently, it has a wealth of buildings and architectural styles.
