Situated in the centre of the city, the square is home to five significant buildings. Some of the further destinations include the magnificent building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, the spectacular Parliament building of Armenia, the stunning Mother Armenia Monument, and the incredible Karen Demirtchian Sports Complex. Brace yourself for your next destination. You will visit Tsitsernakaberd, which is a monument dedicated to the Armenian genocide victims. There is also a museum commemorating the 1.5 million Armenians who perished during the first genocide of the 20th century in Western Armenia and in the territory of the Ottoman Empire. After that, you will visit the vibrant Cascade complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan. The place dazzles in the evening with people having a sip of coffee in the cosy cafes or admiring the beautiful sculptures in the area. When you are done relaxing in the complex, you will head towards the last destination of the day trip, the magnificent blue mosque. It is one of the biggest and oldest mosques, thriving beautifully at the heart of the city. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3
A Day to Explore the Wonders of Armenia
Kickstart your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Your first destination for the day will be Tsaghkadzor, a lush, green small town in Armenia. You will be taken on a short walking tour to discover its stunning marvels. You will have the opportunity to go up the mountain peaks by ropeway and enjoy the panoramic vistas. The next destination will be Kecharis Monastery. After that, you will be driven to Lake Sevan, which is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world. Not far from the lake is Sevanavank Monastery, which is included in your Armenia weekend travel package. For centuries, the monastery has stood proudly on the peninsula, overlooking the lake.You will be driven back to Yerevan and visit the large open air exhibition market called Vernissage.
