Day 1
Trip Starts
A vacation to Sri Lanka is an experience unlike any other. This tropical paradise elicits a sense of curiosity and amazement in all its visitors. Explore the islands mystifying history, indulge in some sun worship or just relax on the beaches with a cocktail in hand. Your Sri Lanka leisure tour package starts with exploring Negombo, upon arrival in Sri Lanka. After spending some time exploring Negombo, you will be driven to your next destination – Dambulla Cave Temple & Sita Eliya Tea Factory. Check into hotel and freshen up Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Negombo.
Day 2
Trip from Negombo, Pinnawala and Dambulla
After an incredible breakfast in your hotel, a chauffeur will pick you up and drive you to Dambulla. On the way to Dambulla, you will stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in order to witness how our wild elephants are being cared for after their mothers have been poached. The orphanage was created as a safe haven and rehabilitation center when the elephant population started diminishing at an alarming rate in Sri Lanka. After visiting the park, you will go on to Dambulla, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel. After checking in at the hotel, freshen up and visit the local potteries factories where you can learn about how locals produce these wonderful clay pots that are used throughout Sri Lanka. Return back to hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Hotel in Dambulla.
Day 3
Enjoy Exploring Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Minneriya and Dambulla
There is no better way to spend your day than exploring the historic city of Polonnaruwa. Once the capital of Sri Lanka and boasting over 55 protected monuments, this sprawling ancient city enthrals its visitors with a timeless reflection of the country’s glorious history. Driven by a friendly historian, you will be chauffeured through the quaint landscapes studded with sites of archaeological importance that are all well-preserved. Following this and completed your tour, set off in an open safari jeep on Minneriya Safari and enjoy an excursion along the bank of Mahaveli River to spot rare birds and animals at close quarters, including herds of elephant. At dusk, you can enjoy an unforgettable river safari on Siruvaela Ganga. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Dambulla.
Day 4
Visit Dambulla, Sigiriya and Kandy
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Sigiriya. This is a guided visit to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress by a historian. The well-preserved frescoes will take your breath away and make you wonder how was it possible for an artist of that time to paint them with such perfection. The visit will last about 2 hours. After this, you're to visit spice gardens in Matale. You will arrive in Kandy in the afternoon. Check into your hotel and freshen up before visiting the Temple of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, (also known as the sacred tooth). It's believed to be one of the most important Buddhist relics in Sri Lanka, revered by many Buddhists. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.
Day 5
Discovering Gems of Kandy and Nuwara Eliya
Day 5 of your Sri Lanka family package, starts with Nuwara Eliya, where you will spend the next few days enjoying the shimmering tea plantations. Whether it is a relaxing morning spent in the cool, crisp air of the hills or a cocktail at a stately Club, you will have time to relax and enjoy Nuwara Eliya. You will travel to Kandy by train in the afternoon and arrive in the evening. In the evening, take an unforgettable night safari through the hill country. The 'little England of Sri Lanka' is now ready for you to discover. Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6
Enjoy Trip from Nuwara Eliya, Ella and Yala
After breakfast, your chauffer will take you to Yala National Park. You will discover Ella Gap & nine arch bridge and Ravan Falls in Ella, on your way to the national park. You will arrive in Yala late afternoon. Check into a hotel and freshen up. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala.
Day 7
Visit Yala and Mirissa
The Sri Lanka group package includes a guided jeep safari at the Yala National Park. After your safari, you will be taken to your final destination, Mirissa, late afternoon. Spend rest of the day leisure at Hotel Overnight stay at Hotel in Mirissa.
Day 8
Reach Mirissa and Depart to Airport
You will be picked up from your hotel early morning and taken to Mirissa for a whale watching tour. You can spend your afternoon at leisure and then on a city tour of Colombo. You will be taken to your hotel for your onwards flight.
